How UCHC Is Helping Parents Manage Stress

UCHC, in collaboration with New York Psychotherapy and Counseling Center, hosted a new Health Series focused on the various stressors and pressures that Muslim mothers in the Bronx experience. On January 26, the “Stress Management for Parents” workshop took place at Masjid Al-Fawzaan Women’s Circle.  Attendees learned:

• How to recognize the internal and external symptoms and causes of stress.
• Techniques on identifying roles and responsibilities in stress creation and reduction.
• Different methods that can be used to manage stress at home and in the workplace.
• How to create a stress-prevention action plan to apply in everyday life.
